Warranty & Claims Policy

PMK Supply, Inc. does not provide any additional warranties, either expressed or implied, beyond what is clearly stated here. This limited warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary depending on your state or province.

This warranty applies only to residential use. Postower products should not be used in any public or commercial setting, including but not limited to churches, daycare centers, parks, or similar places. Using the product in such environments may cause it to fail or lead to injury, and will immediately void the warranty.

This warranty also does not cover any incidental or consequential damages. Please note that some areas do not allow the exclusion or limitation of these types of damages, so this rule may not apply to you.

Limited Warranty 

This Limited Warranty issued by PMK Supply, Inc. applies exclusively to Postower products. PMK Supply, Inc. warrants that its Postower-branded products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase.

This warranty covers all product components, including but not limited to aluminum, steel, hardware, and accessories. In the event that any warranted component is found to be defective due to faulty materials or manufacturing during the warranty period, PMK Supply, Inc. will, at its sole discretion, provide a replacement part. If original components are no longer available or have been discontinued, PMK Supply, Inc. reserves the right to substitute them with equivalent or improved parts from newer models.

Additionally, any parts found to be missing or damaged within the original packaging at the time of delivery will be replaced at no cost to the customer if reported within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date. All shipping and handling costs related to such claims shall be the responsibility of the seller.

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser who registers the product and is non-transferable. Continued warranty coverage is subject to proper product maintenance. Failure to adhere to the recommended care and maintenance guidelines may result in the voiding of this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty shall not apply in the following cases:

If the product's CE marking has been removed or is no longer legible.

If any pictograms or safety labels containing critical hazard and safety information have been removed.

If the product has been used inappropriately or outside of its intended purpose.

 

The warranty does not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction resulting from the following conditions:

1. Improper Handling or Installation 

Damage, cracks, or scratches caused during storage, assembly, installation, usage, or maintenance not in accordance with the instruction manual.

Damage due to installation on unsuitable surfaces. This product is designed only for flat concrete ground. Anchor bolts may not hold securely on other surfaces.

Cracked or uneven ground requires professional consultation.

Do not install on sandy, muddy, or loose soil due to insufficient anchorage.

 

2. Hazardous Assembly Conditions 

Damage caused by installation or use near flammable liquids.

Damage from assembling, installing, or closing the louvers in moderate or heavy wind conditions.

Damage caused by assembling or using the pergola when parts are missing or damaged.

 

3. Use of Unauthorized Components 

Use of non-original spare parts.

Repairs conducted without prior permission.

 

4. Structural and Environmental Causes

Installation methods not compliant with national or local building codes.

Damage due to inadequate cleaning methods using corrosive or abrasive substances or tools.

Damage caused by foreign object impact, suspended accessories, or attempts to climb on the structure.

Water leaks between gutter modules or penetrations not sealed properly by the customer.

Leaks caused by incomplete closure of movable parts.

Damage due to normal wear and tear, including seals, lubricants, etc.

 

5. Acts of Nature and Environmental Exposure

Any damage caused by force majeure, such as floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, or lightning.

Tarnish, corrosion, or staining from environmental conditions, including air pollution, acid rain, mold, insects, animals, algae, or moss.

Stains from foreign substances (e.g., grease, oil, bug spray, tanning oil, hydraulic fluid, etc.).

Cosmetic issues like fading, paint damage, chalking, or buildup of dirt, salt, or sand from normal weathering.

 

6. Heat and Structural Movement 

Warping or cracking from excessive heat (e.g., barbecue grills) or reflective surfaces (e.g., windows, skylights, roofing materials).

Heat buildup from poor roof ventilation.

Movement or settling of the building’s foundation causing structural impact to the installed material.

 

7. System Characteristics

Operational noises during louver rotation.

Condensation forming on louver undersides.

Minor color variations of parts from production.

Rotating louver angle differences of up to 5°, considered within normal system tolerances.

 

 

Warranty Claim Requirements

To initiate a warranty claim, please ensure the following conditions are met:

Proof of Purchase
The claim must include a valid order number or transaction number.
Claims without verifiable purchase information will not be eligible for warranty service.

Description of the Defect
Provide a clear and detailed explanation of the issue.
If a third party installed the product, include the name of the installation company.
Indicate the date the defect was first identified.

Supporting Documentation
PMK Supply, Inc. reserves the right to request photographic or video evidence of the defect or damage.
Failure to provide these materials upon request may result in denial of the claim, including the refusal of replacement parts or credit.

Retention of Receipt
Customers are strongly encouraged to keep a copy of the original purchase receipt for warranty verification purposes.

 

Any alterations or modifications to the original product may compromise its structural integrity, potentially resulting in product failure and personal injury.

Such modifications will immediately void all applicable warranties.

PMK Supply, Inc. disclaims any and all liability arising from the use or consequences of a modified product.
